Johnny Cash In Concert is back on the Gold Coast this winter and will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of one of Johnny Cash’s most iconic albums: At Folsom Prison. This bestselling 1968 album marked Johnny Cash’s 27th album, and his first ever live album. It went straight to top of the US country album chart during its initial release, and was certified three-times platinum in 2003. The lead single “Folsom Prison Blues” was a top 40 hit, and is now known as one of Johnny Cash’s most iconic songs. The album also featured live versions of his songs “Orange Blossom Special”, “Cocaine Blues”, “I Still Miss Someone”, “Dark as the Dungeon”, and more. At Folsom Prison is one of Johnny Cash’s most heartfelt albums, and one of the most famous albums ever recorded live in a prison. This famous performance at Folsom Prison was featured in the 2005 biographical film Walk the Line, starring Joaquin Phoenix.
